Message Carbon Carbon does not grab very well when it is cold. With a twin disc there is enough surface area that this is not a problem.
A single disc carbon carbon wears too fast because they slip too much when they are cold.
In order to use carbon carbon in a single disc application the flywheel side needs to have a material that grabs cold.
So the pressure plater side of the disc and pressure plate both get carbon because it works best against itself.
The flywheel side of the Disc gets normal 6 puck material and rubs against normal metal friction plates.
This allows the clutch to grab cold, engage smooth and cut the weight.
